How It Started

It all began back in 2011 with a vision to bring the local car community together once a month for a cool and casual event celebrating all makes and models. After a long search for a venue that would accommodate an unknown amount of cars, Suncoast Porsche in Sarasota, FL stepped up and offered to host the first Cars & Coffee in the area. With an average of 30 cars for the first few events, word spread quickly and before long Suncoast was hosting 150 cars each month for several years, everything from million dollar supercars and elegant British classics, to
right-hand-drive imports and hot rod pickups.
The recipe was simple: No discrimination, free coffee for everyone,
8-10am, rain or shine.

How It Went

Sarasota Cars & Coffee quickly gained the attention of gear heads from near and far. Guests drove from Tampa, Orlando, Fort Myers, Naples, and Daytona Beach. With every passing year an anniversary celebration was hosted, always bringing a surprise or two. It wasn't out of the ordinary to see an offshore fishing boat, a full blown race car or the first Lamborghini Aventador Roadster in the United States at one of our birthday parties.

With Suncoast Porsche the site for Audi and Volkswagen as well, and business booming, space became an issue due to inventory always arriving. A short-lived move to Suncoast Technical College was a quick solution for the parking problem. As soon as Audi built their standalone building, Cars & Coffee headed back to Suncoast Porsche where it remained for six more years.

How It's Going

Everything changed in March of 2021... A simple email led to multiple meetings with the collective minds of Suncoast Porsche, Benderson Development and University Town Center. The idea of moving an event that was coming up on its 10-year anniversary to a place that could truly take it to the next level was a no-brainer. UTC is one of the premier destinations throughout all of Florida for shopping, dining, and entertainment, and they offered for their incredible venue to become the new home of Sarasota Cars & Coffee. After a few months of planning the big move finally happened on June 11, 2021. As we welcomed guests to our new home and celebrated ten amazing years, we saw over 300 cars drive under the balloon arch and soak up the incredible atmosphere.

What We Do

We have always been a charity forward event, hosting many food drives with the All Faiths Food Bank and Meals on Wheels, as well as our annual Toys for Tots toy collections every December, Sarasota Cars & Coffee has become the perfect place to come together as a group and make a difference. We partner with a different local charity each month and volunteers stage at the entrance, greeting cars and collecting $10 donations per car as they arrive, totaling thousands of dollars for their charities. We are proud of the generous donations we've been
able to contribute to our community.

Sarasota Cars & Coffee currently hosts over 800 cars monthly
